A Right Royal Success!
Sky News enjoyed record figures for the Royal wedding between Prince William and Kate Middleton on Friday 29th April. The coverage, led by Sunrise's Eamonn Holmes, was viewed by millions of people across multiple platforms.
Peak viewing figures were up 181% with 661,000 viewers tuning in at 11am - immediately taking the Royal Wedding into the top 20 viewing figures in Sky News' history. One million people visited the Sky News website and 35,000 customers enjoyed coverage via Sky News' ground-breaking iPad app.

Over 160 members of staff helped to deliver Sky News' coverage of the Royal Wedding which started at 6am and continued throughout the day, including a special programme entitled 'Your Royal Wedding' which allowed viewers to send in their own experiences of the Royal Wedding via video.
