Ruth and Eamonn live it up in a caravan for This Morning

15/07/2011

Eamonn and Ruth will be presenting ITV1’s award-winning show, This Morning from Monday 18th July over the Summer holidays!

To launch the summer season, the married couple were happy to get into character for a teaser promo! In a scene that looks as though it’s straight out of ‘Shameless’ Eamonn and Ruth play two unemployed wannabes living in a grungy caravan with Ruth practicing her exercise moves in front of the television while Eamonn reads a newspaper on the sofa when he spots a job advert wanting ‘two presenters  to present This Morning over the summer’.

The pair then emerge going from drab to fab as they change from their Vicky Pollard tracksuits and rollers to their stylish television look!

Eamonn said, “We have filmed a couple of pre-title fun sequences to highlight that things will be different over the summer. Having a chuckle is very much what we are about.”

Ruth added, “I was supposed to look comically outrageous for the scene – but Eamonn seemed strangely attracted to my new get-up – I’m to say I couldn’t say the same about his!”

This Morning is live each weekday at 10.30am, Saturdays 11.45, Sundays 11.30 on ITV1.

  • Dear Eamon and Ruthjust wanted to say i love watching both of you on this morning and Eamon is so funny with his wicked sense of humour. you are both the only ones who come over with a really relaxed and enjoyable programme are you only going to do fridays only now the winter months are upon us? I can take phillip scolfield but the rest are useless. hope you both will be back again soon in the mornings. They are not the same without you may i suggest you not repeat in the evenings to cheer us up as there is nothing elst like it at that time. im sure you would get a great tune in. lets face it we have to put up with repeats of every thing else in the evening so why not you. I know you do the saturday thing but its not quite the same. Mean while i have had to record you like i should think thousands of others of us who have to work to catch up in the evenings from now on will probably turn of until you are doing your friday morning slot again.
